The phase wound rotor motor is IEC 60034-compliant slip-ring three-phase asynchronous motor. Its rotor winding is led out by slip rings and carbon brushes for external resistance connection. With external rotor resistance, starting inrush current can be limited to 1.5-2.2 times rated current while delivering starting torque of 2.0-2.8 times rated torque. Rated efficiency reaches 92%-95% under full-load condition, power factor ranges 0.80-0.87. It covers typical power range from hundreds kW up to several thousand kW, supports S1 continuous-duty operation.
